We greatly appreciate the support of our donors and friends. It is of the utmost importance to NIA’s Project Safe Spaces to protect the privacy rights of all visitors to our website and donors to our organization. Our policies regarding tracking, donation, purchase processing, and use of data are provided below. Site Navigation
Our goal is to provide our website visitors with information about our organization in a straightforward manner. Visitors are not required to register to access any part of our site except to voluntarily sign up with their name and email address to receive periodic updates from NIA’s Project Safe Spaces Youth and the latest information regarding mental trauma of the youth with mental health.  (see www.safespacesyouth.org).

Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We may use information that has been aggregated and anonymized or de-identified to assess and improve the NIA Safe Spaces Youth website, including to enhance your user experience and to help potential donors better understand our audience. We may sometimes produce data and analysis results with this aggregated or anonymized information, which will not include any personal information, and share it with third parties to help us improve our communications and website.

Opting Out of Tracking
If you wish to disable cookies and other use-tracking technologies, your browser settings may enable you to do so. Please be aware, though, that disabling cookies may change or reduce the functionality of the NIA Safe Spaces Youth website in certain contexts. Online Transactions
We value your online donations and are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all your transactions. Safe Spaces Youth complies with applicable laws and standard practices and uses industry-standard protocols, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept your information. When processing an online transaction such as a donation, we ask for your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and credit card information. All information is stored in a secure location and is protected. We ask for personally identifiable details only to process and acknowledge your transaction and as a means of getting in touch with you if there are any problems.

NIA Safe Spaces Youth also uses the services of an outside vendor to process credit and debit card transactions online. Our vendor has certified to us that they adhere to the strictest standards of privacy and is SSL-Certified.

E-mail Communications
NIA Safe Spaces Youth sends occasional email updates and program information to the email address you provided when you signed up to receive newsletters from us, or for online transaction processing. You may unsubscribe from receiving emails from us at any time by contacting us at (213) 424-2497 or info@safespacesyouth.org. Unsubscribe information is also provided in each e-communication.

Third-Party Protection/Mailing Lists
On rare occasions,  NIA Safe Spaces Youth may exchange names and email addresses with external organizations, specifically other organizations working in the field of mental health, to share information that may be of interest to our friends and donors. Everyone has the option to request that their names not be shared with any third-party organizations. We do not sell the names of our friends or donors to any organization whatsoever.

Links to Other Sites
NIA Safe Spaces Youth provides links on its website to other organizations as an educational tool for those interested in mental illness and mental health concerning marginalized youth. These websites are not under our control, nor are we responsible for any content on these sites. The inclusion of a link does not indicate any express or implied endorsement by NIA Safe Spaces Youth of these third-party websites.

You may remove your name from our donor and/or mailing list, limit the number of mailings you receive, or update your contact information.
